Event Details
The Partnership for Social Enterprise Boot Camp is a unique, hands-on event facilitated by leading practitioners and faculty from three of New York’s top schools: Columbia, NYU, and SVA.
The SE Boot Camp is a series of participatory, practical workshops where current and aspiring social entrepreneurs will learn from pioneers in social enterprise how to sharpen the tools and build the relationships they need to get social ventures off the ground.
The SE Boot Camp caters to entrepreneurs with a clear idea of what they want to build, as well as those who are still in the process of figuring out their venture ideas. Workshops are organized along four thematic tracks--Conceive, Implement, Communicate, Evaluate--that offer relevant content regardless of the stage of the venture.

Organized by: SIPA Net Impact, NYU Bridge, & MFA in Design for Social Innovation.
SIPA Net Impact focuses on building and supporting an active network of people at SIPA and the larger Columbia community who are interested and involved in Corporate Social Responsibility, Social Entrepreneurship, and Sustainability. We organize events including lectures, panels, discussion forums, workshops and brownbag lunches and drive curriculum development that furthers Net Impact-related fields as an area of academic focus at SIPA. We also provide networking and social events for members and support professional development activities including career fairs, and events with other Net Impact chapters.
Bridge is a student and professional group at NYU's Wagner School of Public Service that seeks to connect students and professionals working and interested in social entrepreneurship and innovation. We believe that innovative solutions to entrenched social problems lie at the intersection of the public, private and non-profit sectors. We provide members opportunities to connect with students, academics and professionals in this space, learn about innovative approaches in the field through discussions and hands on experience, and develop professional skills that will help prepare them for a successful career in social innovation.
The MFA in Design for Social Innovation at SVA prepares students to apply the principles and ethics of social innovation as filters for understanding and as a discipline for engaging with and improving the world through design. Graduates of the program will be more than graphic designers, filmmakers, advertising creative directors or interactive systems designers. They will be all these, mastering all the skills and knowledge of how to apply them to have a positive impact on business, society and their own lives.
